"Hoss"
Born: January 28th 2005
Hoss currently weighs approximately 105lbs
We just recently gave Hoss to one of our good friends to keep. Hoss was raised with his Dam and another bulldog of ours "Taz" (12yrs old) who has been the dominant dog in the yard for his entire life until Hoss reached about 2 1/2 yrs old. Hoss finally took over as Dominant dog on the property, but we couldn't find it in ourselves to let Taz be taken over due to his age so we decided to let Hoss spend the rest of his days with another family that would take great care of him.
Hoss is absolutely one of the sweetest dogs we have ever had the pleasure of raising, and it was surprising to all of us that he finally had taken over as the dominant male on the property. Hoss is very laid back and would absolutely rather socialize with people over dogs anyday, but he does have a female (spayed) laborador to run the yard with now at his new home.
Hoss had such a great humor, during his days at our property he would go to our neighbors house in the morning and "knock" on the door with his paw unitl the door was opened and eat gravy and biscuits with her just about everyday... Furthermore, Hoss also went to another neighbor of ours in the evening and "knocked" on the door and would eat sandwhiches on the kitchen floor with her also... Both neighbors agreed that Hoss helped keep stray dogs and cats away along with the potential of people wanting to come on the property because he protected their homes as if they were his with his ferocious bark & growl he has... It is really a sight to see him let people know he doesn't want people near the property too (very impressive/protective)...
